Luxembourg Unveils 8 Talented Artists Competing for Eurovision 2024

Luxembourg is gearing up for its triumphant return to the Eurovision Song Contest in 2024, and RTL Luxembourg has unveiled the exciting lineup of eight hopefuls vying to represent the country in Malmö. The highly anticipated Luxembourg Song Contest, set to broadcast live from the Rockhal in Esch-sur-Alzette on January 27, 2024, promises a night of musical diversity and talent.

From an initial pool of nearly 300 acts, RTL Luxembourg carefully selected a diverse group of artists, each bringing a unique flavor to the stage.

Joel Marques Cunha, a 25-year-old singer from Differdange, caught attention with his Voice of Germany journey and debut single “Stranger.”

Meanwhile, 15-year-old Naomi Ayé, a composer and pianist, made a mark with her rendition of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” on The Voice Kids.

Experienced contenders include EDSUN (Edson Pires Domingos), a seasoned musician with past Luxembourg Music Awards wins and a successful 2018 tour.

Krick (Christine Heitz), a nurse by day and popstar by night, has already made waves with her band, The Daydreamer.

One Last Time, the only group in the lineup, brings a pop-rock sound, comprising Andrea Galleti, Jonathan Fersino, Barbara Salvi, Tom Sagramola, and Alessandro Sorbelli (Lalo).

TALI (Tali Golergant), a 23-year-old artist and music teacher in New York, adds an international touch to the competition.

The duo Angy & Rafa Ela, made up of Angy Sciacqua and Rafaela Teixeira Fernandes, brings a mix of experience, with Angy’s participation in The Voice Belgium and Rafaela’s victories in Luxembourg’s Next Popstar and Top Voice Luxembourg.

Completing the lineup is CHAiLD (Adriano Lopes Da Silva), a 25-year-old singer-songwriter from Brussels, known for his opening performances for acclaimed artists like Mahmood and Nothing But Thieves.

David Gloesener, the Head of Eurovision at RTL Luxembourg, expressed excitement about the diverse and talented group of artists representing Luxembourg. The national final promises a night of musical variety, reflecting the vibrant spirit of the performers.

Eric Lehmann, Head of the Luxembourg Delegation at Eurovision, stated, “Luxembourg back in the spotlight of Eurovision feels just right!” As the countdown to the national final begins, the songs from these talented artists will be released in the coming weeks, building anticipation for Luxembourg’s return to the Eurovision stage.
