Kaleen to Represent Austria at Eurovision 2024

Austria has reveiled its musical ambassador for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, and the spotlight is on the multi-talented Kaleen. The announcement was made during Ö3 Wecker on Hitradio Ö3, revealing that Kaleen will represent Austria in Malmö.

Selected internally by ORF, Kaleen emerged as the chosen one after a competitive process that involved 14 acts in the live audition stage. A professional jury and fan clubs played a crucial role in the selection, ultimately endorsing Kaleen as the Austrian representative for Eurovision 2024.

Based in Vienna, Kaleen is not just a singer but also a songwriter and a professional dancer. Boasting over 80 first places and awards, she has been recognized for her talents in dance competitions, earning accolades for Best Female Talent and Best Choreography. Inspired by the likes of early Britney Spears and Kylie Minogue, Kaleen’s stage presence is described as vibrant, confident, and upbeat.

Her Eurovision journey began in 2018, initially as a stand-in lead artist for rehearsals of several countries and later as a dancer and choreographer for interval acts in Lisbon. In 2021, she served as the creative director for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest for Spain and Bulgaria, expanding her role as the creative and stage director for the entire production in 2022.

The much-anticipated song Kaleen will perform in Malmö, titled “We Will Rave,” is set to be revealed in March. This marks a continuation of Kaleen’s involvement with Eurovision, having supported Austria, Armenia, Germany, and Georgia with their stage performances in the previous year’s contest in Liverpool.

Kaleen follows in the footsteps of Teya & Salena, who represented Austria in Liverpool with “Who The Hell is Edgar?” Kaleen’s mission is to bring a fresh and dynamic performance to the Eurovision stage, carrying the Alpine country’s musical spirit to new heights. The countdown to Malmö begins! 🇦🇹
