Dutch Eurovision participant Claude has announced that his entry for the 2025 contest will be released on February 27th. The singer shared the news via his Instagram account, though details about the song itself remain under wraps.

Claude was internally selected by a special selection committee to represent the Netherlands in Basel this coming May. The committee stated that Claude was chosen because he best embodies the image and talent they wish to showcase to European audiences. An official AVROTROS press release further elaborated on the selection, noting that Claude’s song is “meaningful, connecting, and hit-sensitive with international appeal that can effortlessly win the hearts of young and old Eurovision voters.”

Claude Kiambe, a Dutch singer born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, moved to the Netherlands at the age of nine. He rose to prominence in 2022 with his hit single “Ladada (Mon dernier mot),” which has garnered an impressive 57 million streams. His success continued in 2024, earning him several awards for his singles “Layla” and “Écoute-moi.” Adding to his growing list of accomplishments, Claude is also scheduled to perform at the prestigious Pinkpop Festival in June 2025.

The Netherlands’ last Eurovision appearance was in Malmö, Sweden, with Joost Klein. After a strong showing in the Second Semi-Final, where he placed second with 182 points, Klein was ultimately disqualified from the Grand Final following allegations of misconduct.
