Olly Wins Sanremo 2025 with “Balorda Nostalgia”

An update on Olly's decision regarding Eurovision participation is expected this week.

After five nights of captivating performances, the 75th edition of the Festival di Sanremo has concluded, crowning Olly as its 2025 champion. His winning song, “Balorda Nostalgia,” has secured him a place in Sanremo history.

The final night saw all 29 competing acts take the stage one last time, vying for a spot in the Superfinal. The combined results from the previous nights and the final performance determined the top five contenders. These finalists then faced another round of voting, with the outcome decided by a three-way split (33% press jury, 33% radio jury, and 34% televote). Olly emerged victorious, claiming the prestigious title.

This year’s Sanremo was co-hosted by the familiar face of Carlo Conti alongside Alessia Marcuzzi and Alessandro Cattelan, who previously co-hosted Eurovision 2022 in Turin. The trio delivered a memorable closing show to the festival.

Will Olly Represent Italy at Eurovision 2025?

Olly now has the option to represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel. However, he has stated at a press conference that he needs more time to consider this opportunity. Should he decline, the runner-up, Lucio Corsi, will be offered the chance to represent Italy. An update on Olly’s decision regarding Eurovision participation is expected this week.
