Sarah Bonnici To Represent Malta at Eurovision 2024

In a thrilling culmination of Malta’s Eurovision Song Contest selection process, Sarah Bonnici emerged as the victor, securing the honor of representing the nation with her captivating song, “Loop.” The final, held after months of anticipation, featured twelve finalists who competed fiercely for the opportunity to showcase Malta’s musical prowess on the Eurovision stage.

The winner was determined by a combination of 50% jury voting and 50% televoting, reflecting a dynamic mix of expert opinions and public sentiment. The results unfolded as follows (jury + televote):

  9. Miriana Conte – “Venom” (23 + 2 = 25)
  10. Nathan – “Ghost” (15 + 8 = 23)
  11. Gail Attard – “Wild Card” (17 + 3 = 20)
  12. Haley Azzopardi – “Tell Me That It’s Over” (5 + 2 = 7)

 

In addition to the main competition, two extra awards were presented during the show, adding a touch of distinction to the evening. Lisa Gauchi received the accolade for Best Newcomer, while Greta Tude was celebrated for having the Best Music Video.

Sarah Bonnici’s victory places her in the spotlight as Malta’s representative in the first half of the second Semi-Final in Malmö on May 9.
